On apex of Blakehurst Lane there's a small car park off the road, space for 7 or 8 cars maybe. **Post code will take you further down the lane, actual coordinates are 50.855712, -0.515362
Pretty flat throughout. Most of the walk is on gravel or tarmacced tracks and roads. Some are used for vehicles, but all private roads and cars are very sparse and slow. No stiles.
No water here
No bins here
Is part of the Angmering estate and are lots of routes to expand your walk if you want to go further.
We took the main farm track directly opposite the tight corner of the road where you park, head past the farm on your right and a little further up take a right turn. Follow this down the hill and at the bottom when you get to a T junction through a metal gate go left. Continue on this track for a while and eventually you come to another T junction, take a left again and this basically takes you straight back to the start. There are smaller paths through the woods, but we didn't fancy getting lost today so explore if you want, but if you just want a straight forward walk it's a very easy route.
The woods are very beautiful and it's a nice peaceful area - it's not deserted though we passed several other walkers, runners, and horses today. It's an unusual woodland walk given that all paths are gravel so you're not trekking through mud and puddles all the time, but sometimes it's quite nice to have a woodland walk without getting caked in mud!
*16/110/22 - Had an email from Joanne who did this route recently, and there was a gamekeeper who advised all dogs should be on leads here and not running through forest due to pheasants and potential fox snares! Take care, and thanks Joanne!
