Several laybys along Sandy Lane, we managed to park opposite the poo bin right at the start of the path. if yiu go too far there is quite a deep ford so watch out for that, and no need to go that far anyway.
Nice flat walk, mainly sandy heath paths. On my route there is a way-point added saying boggy narrow path, having gone further along im pretty sure that bit wasnt a path at all so if yiure following my route best just ignore that bit, but plenty of other paths to take if you just go back a lottle bit!
Perfect location for water. We found three really pretty ponds, the one with an island wasn't really accesible for Hank but the other two had great shallow access and him and great fun splashing around!
Poo bin on Sandy Lane right at the start of the walk
You can also walk to Frensham Great Pond from here
Walking from the car we headed left at the first junction along the wire fence, and through the pines we came to the first pond called Axe Pond which is stunning with the hills in the background, shallow beach areas, and you can walk all the way round. About half of this walk is ducking through narrow rhododendron tunnels but thats pretty fun too.
From there we just explored and headed toward the hills, these are called The Devils Jumps and really ads to the pretty scenery. I didnt really find a way up them though, much of that area was fenced off but were some paths I didn't take so may have missed it!
It really is a perfect dog walking location, lots of great open areas and water to splash in, surprisingly quiet too woth only a handful of other walkers around.
