Lots of free parking at the leisure centre.
OVeral a very flat walk. It's mostly muddy field paths with a few parts on gravel tracks and a short road section. There is one stile that Hank just got through right at the start, and there are some stepped bits with some narrow parts by the bridges too.
Annoyingly I didn't get a picture as when I went there were other people using it, but I have put a yellow way-point on the map - just past the first bridge if you walk past instead of crossing it you;ll come to a lovely little shallow access poitn to the river and a great place for dogs to get in the water.
In the car park, and at the far end of the playing fields behind the rugby club building.
After the short road section, on the return back you walk through a private farm where there are (fenced off!) fields of beautfiul deer, including huge stags with such imperssive antlers!
This is a nice easy walk, which starts at the popular sports fields where if you want then there's also lots of space to have a play and throw a ball if your dog needs a bit more exercise too!
The route we went on started opposite the cricket pitch, where some small paths lead you through to the river crosssing and then on to some large open fields making a nice little loop.
Be aware there is a short country road section without pavements around half way, but not too many cars.
As you'd expect the playing fields area will be busy, but once we were away from that we only passed a handful of people and it wasn't too busy at all.
