Parking

Decent sized free car park off the B2195. 2m Height max.

Terrain

Fairly hilly in parts, some gravel pathways but mainly muddy woodland pathways which are uneven and steep in places, with some steps too. No stiles.

Water

Head to the right as you go in and there's a great section of the walk where there's a decked pathway along the stream. Lots of access for dogs to get splashing around, even in the middle of summer. There is a pond too, but is completely fenced off and you can't access it.

Poo Bins

Several bins and poo bins by the car park and entrance routes.

Author Review

Being so close to Horsham and with a playground nearby this is a popular spot with residents for walks, and just days out so can be busy. Hank was on and off the lead quite a lot here but it's a large area, and the further you go away from the car park it does get less busy.

There's two parts really, the Leechpool section includes the stream walk and there's open woodland areas. It's not huge, but I did find it a little tricky to navigate as there's lots of worn paths and it's not always clear which route to take.

As you venture further left you come to the Owlbeech section which is through tall beech trees and pine forests - there's not as much freedom to roam but the routes are more easily set out. There is an additional area through the pine heath but this is closed through nesting season.

It's easily accessible and great for kids and picnics, and you could have a shorter or longer walk than mine so very versatile and the stream walk is a lovely feature here and Hank loved it.
