Larg car park right off the road - the entrance to the secure field is straigth ahead as you come in, down the grass and you;ll see the 5 bar gate. It is not enclosed parking here so you'll need to put your dog on the lead to walk to the secure field. Also note that the car park is shared with other farm buildings, so may be other people - and chickens about.
It's a big field and is on a slope but it's not steep. There's no hardstanding or prepared paths here, just mowed routes so best get the wellies on when it's wet.
Water tap by the entrance gate, and near the bottom in the middle of the field. The latter had a nice big puddle that Hank was happy to explore!
Poo bin up by the buildings near the entrance
It's bigger than most I've been to, but is very different too. It has a 4ft fence so lower than most that have 6ft fences. The grass is long so not great for throwing balls unless your dog is an excellent retreiver, but we only lost one and Hank loves to run in the long grass so not a problem at all. There are horses directly nesxt to the field too and a public footpath running alongside the bottom edge but no one about when we were there. Through the bottom of the field you can access the public footpath - once you're out the gate though it is public area so be aware may be others around. The photos in the woods here are in the public area, we had a very quick explore and it's pretty but not what we came here for so went back in the field and took his lead off! It's all set in a really picturesque place and lovely views from the top of the field, and when we visited the owners were there who were very friendly and helpful.
