Small, single lane track coming off the main road B2070, un-signposted. Head up there and ot long before you see couple of parking areas on the right hand side near the path gates to the common.
Relatively flat walk in the main, with some small inclines through the far end of the woods but all very easy. Woodland and grassy paths, no stiles.
Sort of! Small pond, there's s a way point on the map. Wasn't much more than a muddy puddle though when we went in a dry spell but may be more of a splashing spot in wetter seasons.
No bins here
There was a wildfire here in May 2025, and when visiting in October of the same year there is a large section of scruband and trees still scorched.
We went in the middle of Autumn and it really was the perfect spot for the Autumn colours.
Not long after you get out of the car you;re in the large open common area with lots of space to roam and run free.
We continued through here and explored the surrounding forests too and it was a lovely walk with lots of varied scenery.
It was a bit busier with other dogs in the open area, but not very at all and much more sparse through the forest.
Plenty of space for off lead running, but do be aware on the way back (if you follow my route clockwise) then you do go quite close to the main road so watch out for that.
