On street parking, be mindful of local residents and park considerately.
Boggy paths in the winter and wet months but easy to follow route across fields and through the Cotswold countryside and beautiful Bourton on the Water and Upper and Lower Slaughter. No stiles on this route.
Bourton on the Water - delightful town with water running through it with access all the way along for dogs. Just be careful of the ducks that share the water if your dog has a high prey drive.
Plenty of bins along the route in the villages etc.
There are plenty of pubs on this route particularly in Bourton on the Water. We visited the very dog friendly Kingsbridge, large pub garden and a great selection of drinks at the bar. There is also the Slaughters Country Inn at the end/beginning of the walk.
Bourton on the Water is a very popular place for tourists, particularly in the summer and good weather be prepared to be surrounded by people. There is plenty of off lead opportunities on this route when you leave the busy town/villages. It's a beautiful example of quintessential Cotswolds. The bridges across the river in Bourton are adorable and a great photo opportunity. This route also covers some of the Windrush Way if your marking off some that Footpath. It's also only 20 minutes or so drive away from Jeremey Clarksons Diddly Squat Farm and his pub The Farmers Dog.
