We parked down in Monmouth but there is also free parking up at the Kymin if you want to head straight up to that part.
Some hilly bits but clear pathways and routes are easy to follow. Not much shade on this walk so although some of it takes you along the river to cool off the majority of this walk is open and shadeless, keep in mind on a hot sunny day.
Part of this walk follows the Wye Valley Walk and there are sections you have access to the river Wye.
None here
We used this walk as a stop off on the way back from another adventure so didn't stop at any pubs etc on this occasion but in the town centre there are plenty to choose from, it's got a cute high street area.
Lovely walk along the river taking in some really interesting bridges and some great spots for a picnic. We didn't come across anywhere on the route with livestock etc. The views from the Kymin at the top take in a 18th-century Round House and Naval Temple and looks across the town, it's really lovely to sit and watch the world go by, there are some benches etc for you to use and a really cute woodland style area on the way back down to Monmouth town.
