Parking at the pub and in the village, but make sure you go and buy a drink or get one of their delicious Sunday dinners, we highly recommend them ;)
No stiles on this walk, pathways are clear and well marked and laid out. One steep hilly part but the rest is an easy walk.
No water here
Only in the village of Long Compton.
This is a circular walk from the Red Lion, this pub is one of the most dog friendly pubs we've been to, the resident dog Bella will always give you a warm welcome and if your lucky you can get featured on their socials for 'woof wednesday'.
This is a great walk, lots of off lead opportunities, we have seen deer on the route so be mindful of your dogs that have a high prey drive. It works its way over fields and farmland and then up to Whichford Woods, down a lane and then back along the footpathed main road in Long Compton back to the pub. This route and the woods is particularly wonderful in the spring when the woods fills with Bluebells. The pub also sells a dog snack menu as well and has a huge beer garden at the rear of the pub. Keep an eye on our socials because this will be a reasonably regular group walk area, so if you missed this one and want to join the next all the details will be on there.
