Very flat as it follows the River Thames alongside the riverbank.
It's a river walk, although the banks are very steep in most places on this route so Riley didn't enter the water for his own safety.
At regular intervals on the walk.
There was a lovely pub called The Riverside just around the corner from the Car Park, we didn't go in due to being on route back from a weekend away, but there were plenty of people in the garden which is always a good sign.
It's always lovely to walk along the river and this route was no exception. It is a popular Footpath so isn't always the quietest of walks but everyone we have met on this route have been very friendly. There is a lovely picnic area in the meadows by the car park and some great fact boards on the kind of wildlife you could potentially see in the area. Towards the end of the walk we did encounter a field with a large number of cows in it, but they were all very friendly so something to bear in mind if you are nervous etc around cows. And having a picture of your dog by the statue of The Father of The Thames is non negotiable please let us see your pictures if you go!
