We have started this walk from Banbury Train Station which is right next to to actual start of this Long Distance Footpath. As we live in Banbury we did not need to use the car so do not have the information on parking costs, but can confirm there are numerous car parks that can be used if you need them around the station.
Relatively flat, with stiles, very well signposted footpath.
If you dog fancies jumping in the canal like Riley often does at the slightest whiff or sound of a duck.
In banbury and at the end of the route in Wardington.
Dependent on which way around you do this linear walk if you start in Banbury we highly recommend a visit to either The Three Pigeons pub or The White Horse, both within 10 minutes walk of the train station and super dog friendly. The walk also goes though Chacombe so a stop of at the George and Dragon is always a good idea and they have just made the garden bigger so it would be a shame not to use it lol! And the wonderful Hare and Hounds in Wardington, at the end of the walk, always guarantees a warm welcome and some brilliant grub and beer.
The Jurassic Way is a classic, demanding long-distance trail that stretches 143.2km (88 miles) across the heart of England, linking the historic market towns of Banbury in Oxfordshire and Stamford in Lincolnshire. As a group of friends all owning dogs we have decided to mark off the whole of the Jurassic Way in Circular walks, well as it starts in our home town it would almost be rude not to!
So expect to see more walks from this footpath in the future! Some great views on this walk and as always with this group fabulous company. Grazing animals in some fields so be aware and ready to pop dogs back on leads etc etc. Incredibly lucky to have such a wonderful walk quite literally on our doorstep.
