We camped and therefore parked at The Ancient Briton camp site. Further details below.
A walk with a bit of everything, stiles, hills, waterfalls, country parks, cafe and a pub. Certainly not a route for push chairs, 4 paw drive most definitely required. It's going to be muddy in the winter and walking through the woodland areas is lumpy underfoot.
Plenty of water in several places on the route and Henrhyd Falls is the tallest waterfall in southern Wales, with a drop of 90 feet.
A couple at the beginning of the walk and also by the cafe.
Brecon Beacons Touring Park is a campsite that backs onto the rear of The Ancient Briton Pub, super dog friendly plenty of beers and cider on tapp and a huge beer garden to the side. Craig-Y-Nos Country Park is also on this route and has a lovely cafe.
There are plenty of off lead opportunities on this walk, but I can imagine the route can get busy so obviously use your common sense in busy areas. There is a wooden man in the country park section of this walk, its a great photo opportunity for the dog, you can make it look like he's the pet parent. There's some great views from the stiles across the Brecon Beacons, and a trig point (Cribarth) if your a Trig Bagger!
