Parking is available at The Red Lion, making it a convenient starting point for the route. Please make sure you park responsibly and visit the pub either before or after your walk to support this lovely local business. There is also on street parking available.
A lovely circular dog walk around the picturesque village of Hellidon, with well-laid-out footpaths and beautiful countryside views along the route. A few stiles on the route but all sturdy.
There is a large pond along the route which could be a lovely spot for dogs who enjoy a paddle or swim. We didn't see any signs saying dogs couldn't go in the water, but there were plenty of ducks around when we visited, so we kept Riley on the lead to avoid disturbing the wildlife.

The Red Lion is a fabulous, friendly and welcoming pub, and the perfect place to stop for some well-earned food and drinks after your walk. The pub is also part of the Spirit Pub Company group, so if you're a member of their loyalty scheme, make sure you have your loyalty card details or app ready on your phone so you don't miss out on any rewards or offers!
A lovely combination of countryside, a great dog walk, wildlife and a friendly dog-friendly pub – definitely one to add to your dog-walking adventures! 🐶 🌲 🍻
There was cattle grazing in some of the fields when we visited, so as always, make sure you keep an eye out for livestock and follow the Countryside Code. There are also off-lead opportunities along parts of the route, but please only let your dog off lead where it is safe and appropriate to do so.
