I parked down near The Plough Pub in the village of Everdon on the orad by the Church, but you could also start this walk (on route) up by Everdon Stubbs Woods as well which has plenty of free parking.
Relatively flat. Very well laid out and directed footpaths. There are a few gates and a couple of stiles, but all are sturdy and accessible.
No water here
Poo bins are in the village and there are some at the woods.
Unfortunately we started this walk very early in the morning so didn't manage to grab a drink in the pub in Everdon called The Plough but it is open everyday apart from Tuesdays.
Very popular when its Bluebell Season. The whole woodland is engulfed by the amazing green leaves and blue flowers and smells amazing! It's a real gem taken care of by the Woodland Trust.
Obviously it does get very busy around that time of year though so be prepared to potentially struggle with parking at busy times. This walk has plenty of off lead opportunites there are some huge lush fields for the dogs to gallop about in. Some great photo ops as well.
Part of this walk also goes through a disused golf course, so when you see the signs asking for dogs on leads you can be safe in the knowledge they are old signs and it's a derelict place now.
This route also covers some of the Knightley Way (Long Distance Walking Route) if you are walking that footpath. The waymarked Knightley Way visits Foxley, Farthingstone and Fawsley Park to end at Greens Norton, the northern end of the Grafton Way. Much of the route passes through attractive countryside formerly owned by the Knightley family of Fawsley Hall and is a 19KM route.
