Huge car park without any height barriers. There is no charge for the car park but there is a Donations station for the Woodland Trust.
Very flat walk. no stiles but there are a few gates and I can imagine during wet seasons the woodland will get a bit muddy, but the footpaths are all very well signposted.
The end of the walk takes you alongside the River Avon, along a stretch of the Avon River Walk and Avon Valley Way Footpaths. Plenty of places for the dogs to jump in and we even saw people swimming up the river as well.
Lots of bins in the villages on the route.
This was a two pub stop walk, the first being the very friendly Shakespeare Inn, large gardens at the front and the back, Wye Valley Brewery beer on tap and dog biscuits by the bar. The second with a stunning pub garden was The Bell Inn in Welford on Avon, very cute cosey garden, and the food looked amazing! Could have stayed in there all afternoon to be honest. We were heading off to camp at The Cottage of Content campsite for the weekend which was just a short drive away from this walk.
This walk was fab, another ‘bit of everything’ walk. We had woodlands, cute villages with the obligatory pub stop or two. Plenty of off lead opportunites, Would be a good walk to do on a hot day as through the woodland it would be shady and a lot cooler for the dogs.
