The pay and display Birchen Edge car park is right next door to the pub The Robin Hood Inn, £4.60 for two hours. It is a very small car park and a super popular area to walk, we ended up having to park up the road due to the car park being full.
A 6KM walk with a couple of stiles. The footpath up to the top of the edge is very steep and has rocks and tree roots to walk over, but the climb is worth it for the view from the top!
No water here
At car park entrance.

For such a short walk this was absolutely brilliant. There is an Obelisk (Nelson's Monument) and Trig point at the top of the edge. Also on the ridge line is the Three Ships rock formation, the large boulders are carved with the names "Victory," "Defiance," and "Royal Soverin" (sic) to honor Admiral Lord Nelson's ships from the Battle of Trafalgar, I obviously made Riley climb on top, The views at the top are beautiful and I highly recommend you take some sandwiches and a brew to enjoy at the top and gaze over the wonderful Peak District. As you come back down from the ridge line there were sheep in the fields, may just be seasonal but be cautious.
