Author Review

The route starts with a pretty steep ascent which gets you up onto the South Downs way. You can see for miles both inland across Firle and towards the sea over Cuckmere Haven. Also an ancient burial ground just at the top. From this point you are basically ridge walking the downs, until ascending and following a footpath/farm road as you loop back round. Touching the edge of Alfriston village as you return to the car. There is a possibility of bikes, horse riders and sheep grazing in parts. Otherwise lots of nice off lead.
